About Blue Cave Montenegro
A guide for your morning on the Bay of Kotor
Blue Cave Montenegro is an independent guide for everyone planning a boat trip to the Blue Cave in Montenegro. Here you will find how the speedboat tours from Kotor compare, what the stops at Our Lady of the Rocks, the submarine tunnels and Mamula island are, what swimming in the cave involves, how to set out from Tivat, Budva or Herceg Novi, and which months suit the trip.
The site is available in English and five additional languages. It is written first in English.
How we research
Every number on our pages comes from a source that we link to at the bottom of the page: mostly the National Tourism Organisation of Montenegro, the municipal tourist organisations of the coast, the Government of Montenegro, UNESCO and encyclopaedias, with climate averages we calculated from NOAA records for the coastal weather station at Bar, filled in from Dubrovnik where Bar has gaps. Information on tours, that is duration, stops, languages, inclusions and starting prices, is taken from the offers on GetYourGuide. If a source does not provide something, we do not write it.
The open sea decides whether a boat reaches the Blue Cave, and the listings do not all describe the swim the same way. Where they differ, or where a listing leaves something open, we say so plainly instead of guessing.
How we make money
Blue Cave Montenegro is funded through the GetYourGuide affiliate program. When you book through one of our links, we receive a commission; your price remains the same. There are no advertising banners here, and we do not sell your data.
Who is behind it
Blue Cave Montenegro is run by Lukas Weber from Munich. You will find all details about the provider in the legal notice. The easiest way to send questions, comments, or corrections is to email [email protected].
